The Memory Compass

Aging & Dementia Navigation Consultant and Certified Brain Health Coach

Services

Jessie provides personalized guidance for women navigating the emotional and practical concerns of aging and dementia in their families while also helping women take proactive steps to support their own brain health.

She works with clients locally in Zionsville and virtually across the United States, supporting families even when a loved one lives in another city or state.

1. Aging & Dementia Support for Care Partners (Adult children, spouses, & additional care partners)

Jessie’s dementia support services are designed for the care partner, not the loved one living with dementia. Her clients are most often the adult children or spouse who are feeling overwhelmed, unsure where to begin, or trying to make sense of what comes next.

Support is available across the entire journey, from early concerns and new diagnoses to more advanced stages of dementia, and is always tailored to each family’s unique situation.

Jessie doesn’t offer generic advice or one-size-fits-all plans. She helps care partners save time, energy, and mental load by narrowing down guidance, resources, and dementia specific product recommendations to what actually fits their loved one’s needs, stage of dementia, living environment, and family dynamics, because no two families, and no two dementia journeys, are the same.

Care partners often seek Jessie’s help for:

  • Wondering, “Is this normal aging or something more?”

  • Not knowing where to begin, even when a loved one lives in another city or state

  • Understanding dementia stages and planning proactively

  • Navigating challenging care situations (driving concerns, medication management, dressing, showering, mood or behavior changes, increasing care needs)

  • Assessing living environments near and from afar

  • Creating emergency and contingency plans

  • Supporting family communication, mediation, and shared decision-making

2. Personalized Brain Health Coaching & Dementia Prevention Support

Jessie also offers personalized brain health coaching for women with a family history of dementia, as well as those who want to take proactive, evidence-based steps to support their brain health as they age.

This work goes beyond education. Jessie partners with clients to translate evidence-based dementia prevention and brain health strategies into realistic, individualized habits that fit into daily life, honoring each client’s goals, lifestyle, and season of life.

Jessie is a Certified Dementia Practitioner, Certified Brain Health Coach, and the founder of The Memory Compass. With over 13 years of clinical and real-world experience in the dementia care space, she helps clients move out of reactive chaos and into proactive direction, offering clarity, reassurance, and peace of mind.

No one should have to navigate dementia, caregiving, or brain health concerns alone.

Jessie offers a free 15-minute discovery call to help determine the right next step.

"Dementia is personalized (Just in my small world… my husband’s dementia is much different than that of what his mom recently died from, and both are different from the dementia my mom died from twenty years ago.) This requires my role to be personalized in being his care partner and advocate. You help me to achieve a personalized care plan for my husband.

Your person-centered approach educates me on what my husband needs and empowers me to provide him the care he needs. You partner with me to create a safe and comfortable environment for my husband, while communicating the importance of respite for myself.

Convenient consultations help me navigate through the practicalities and challenges of dementia. You provide manageable solutions, so that my husband stays safe, and together, we can enjoy our personal optimum quality of life."

"I wish I would have found Jessie sooner! She has been a pillar of support for my Mom and our family. Her training, experiences, and background have left her with a wealth knowledge to truly help us navigate this difficult journey. She has led us through home, to hospital stays, to Assisted Living, and Memory Care. She has been with us all the way providing the most valuable insight and information. Not only has she partnered with us to provide the best care we can for our Mom, she has shown care and concern for each member of our family. She has insight to help caregivers and family members deal with their own mental and physical health. If you or a loved one is ever diagnosed with Memory Loss, or even questioning the possibility of Memory Loss or cognitive decline, she is the first place to go!"
